    Requirements

    - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
    - Min. 15 years site experience including min. 7 years as a Project(s) Manager/ Director on scalable projects (buildings) in a contracting company in the Gulf region, preferably in the UAE.
    - Age : 40 to 50 years.
    - Proven track record in the successful completion of buildings projects (AED 150M to AED 600M).
    - Experience in dealing with international consulting and project management firms.
    - Good command of the English language.
    - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and knowledge of BIM and/ or Primavera would be useful additions.

    Job Description

    Analyse and evaluate projects documents with the tendering department at tender stage for possible approaches/ alternatives, costs saving and value engineering.
    Oversee the distribution and allocation of human resources, equipment, and plants between projects (if applicable).
    Manage the construction of projects in accordance with the contract in the most efficient way, taking particular care of client’s requirements as well as subcontractors’ and suppliers’ interests.
    Ensure that all necessary construction related permits and certificates are obtained from local authorities.
    Prepare and monitor the procurement milestones schedule in coordination with procurement division.
    Monitor the planning and progress of works on projects and ensure that schedules and completion dates are respected.
    Manage changes in projects scope.
    Oversee the financial performance of projects: Monitor budgets of materials, equipment, manpower and site overhead.
    Ensure that manpower productivity is optimized and that activities costs are within budget.
    Monitor site safety and ensure that the requirements of the occupational Health and Safety standards are enforced.
    Identify, assess and evaluate projects’ risks and formulate risk management mechanisms and conduct due diligence to mitigate risks.
    Mentor, motivate and supervise projects’ teams members and contractors.
    Handle official communication with clients at senior level, discuss areas of concerns and solve issues that may arise.
    Conduct projects retrospective studies and create recommendation reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
